Rating by category:
Good friendly and helpful staff and excellent value.
The friendlyness of the staff and good food
The run down state of the carpets and the dowdiness of the room
The Hotel was good value for the cost. Breakfast was excellent and the room was well decorated and clean.
The Hotel itself appears a bit old fashioned but you must look beyond this and compare how much you pay for staying there.Wifi would not connect.
hotel was quiet, kind of like you country club, no noise, relaxing , room was comfortable and had flat screen tv (in room) and coffee/tea and snacks all at hands.ideal for romantic couple staying in room all day!!!. dinner was quiet nice.10 min drive from/to East Kilbride or 20 to Glasgow.
hotel on outside needs a good make over, looks dull, location is dull, there not a lot to do outwith the hotel(walking),so once you are there, thats it.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best we've had in an hotel for a long time!
The Reception area was tired and dated- could do with a reburbishment.
Location and price for my business
A bit tired but clean and friendly hotel
friendley staff in a pleasent hotel, good food and drink,
stayed in a single room ,which was very compacked, would most likley book a double if i stay again
Whilst staff very friendly on checkin and at the bar, we were met by an extremely rude and ignorant member of staff at reception on our arrval back to hotel after an evening out. Unfortunately, whilst allother staff were very nice and friendly, this ruined our visit to Busby and I would not stay in this hotel because of it.
Its location, away from the City, but not too far. Very close to shops and leisure facilities. Friendly staff, made you feel welcome. Good clean room with all facilities working! Plenty of parking. And off course the price.
The towels and bedding were clean
The room was dated and the carpet was filthy. I was told before booking that I would have WiFi access, which is essential to my work, but was not able to access WiFi once during my entire stay. The bathroom and furniture looked like they had not been updated or re- newed in at least 20 years
Room was a cheap makeover with bright blue walls with a bright yellow circle painted in emulsion in the middle of wall, a bit like target practice. Was meant to be a double bed but was actually 2 rock hard beds pushed together with 2 plug sockets above my head. Very uncomfortable. The most worrying thing, and the thing that made me decide not to stay for breakfast was the chair at the dressing table. I pulled it out to sit down only to find what can only be described as a "skid mark" across it.!! Will not be staying again.
The Staff were very friendly and helpful and the bedroom was clean and tastefully redecorated
The floor in the room was very Squeakie and the decoration in the public area (reception dinning room and stairway needs upgraded
I had a superb experience at the Busby Hotel - I was concerned after reading negative reviews, but discovered the Hotel is now under new management and my goodness it is a superb place for great service, spacious clean rooms, silent night sleep and excellent food served both breakfast wise (highly recommend, it is a bargain, and the superb pub grub restaurant - great tasty food at very very reasonable prices. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this hotel, with their very very friendly helpful staff to all.
I had absolutely no negative experiences at the Busby Hotel and Highly recommend it to anyone
Breakfast (1st) morning Friendly staff Easy parking
A bit dilapidated Very poor quality towels in bathroom
Its a bit tired but it is comfortable
